In the heart of Phoenix, Taco Boy's stands out as a gem in the vibrant Mexican dining scene. Located on E Roosevelt St, this eatery offers an authentic taste experience that feels both rooted in tradition and refreshingly modern. The moment you step inside, the aroma of grilled fajitas and freshly made tortillas sets the stage for what is undoubtedly a memorable meal.
The true highlight here lies in the simplicity and quality of their dishes. Their tacos, especially the pastor, cabeza, and carne asada, showcase expertly seasoned meats grilled to perfection, enhanced further by a lively and well-stocked salsa bar. This salsa bar is a guest favorite, praised for its freshness and variety, allowing diners to tailor each bite exactly to their liking.
Taco Boy's offers a well-balanced menu that caters to both meat lovers and vegetarians alike. The veggie quesadilla and burrito, cooked with fajitas and melted cheese, deliver wholesome, satisfying flavors that hold their own alongside the more traditional offerings. The fajita small items — including tacos, vampiros, and quesadillas — are perfect for those seeking a lighter, yet flavorful, bite.
The service here is swift and friendly, creating an inviting atmosphere even in the restaurant's cozy interior. Outdoor seating is also available, letting diners enjoy Phoenix’s spirited ambiance alongside their meal. While some find the single-shell tacos a bit unconventional, the generous fillings more than compensate, often requiring an extra shell to savor every flavorful morsel.
Overall, Taco Boy's is a destination where bold Mexican flavors come alive through fresh ingredients and thoughtful preparation. It’s no wonder locals keep returning, praising the authentic taste, quick service, and unbeatable value. Whether you’re craving a classic carne asada taco or a hearty veggie burrito, Taco Boy's promises a satisfying and authentic Mexican dining experience worth every visit.

I cannot describe how good these tacos are. Truly some of the best I’ve ever eaten, the cabeza is an absolute must order. The salsa bar is fresh and clean and the service is fast. Truly nothing bad on the menu and no wrong orders here.

Stopped in for lunch and will definitely be back. Excellent flavor on the meats. Fajita style adds grilled veggies. Smells great inside the restaurant but radio is cranked. Outside seating also available.

Taco Boys makes a tasty taco. I had the pastor and my wife had an asada taco. Small place inside but found a table. We enjoyed the toppings bar. Weren’t fans of only getting the one shell with our tacos. They came plenty full to fill a second shell with the fall out. Overall a good experience and definitely would go back.

Amazing tacos. Super quick service, great food and salsa/toppings bar. Highly recommend for a quick meal in Phoenix. Cabeza, Al pastor, carne asada tacos were all fantastic.

This place was recommended by my co-worker. I did order through a delivery service however the food was delicious. I ordered 2 tacos with all the veggies 1 was steak and the other was the shredded beef. Veggies were fresh and I loved that the flour tortilla was not a thick dough. Was just right, I'll be back soon.

I stopped by Taco Boy's and ordered the Asada/Pastor burrito, and let me just say — this thing delivered. From the first bite, you could taste the quality of the meat. The carne asada was tender, perfectly seasoned, and had that fresh-off-the-grill char that gives it real flavor. The al pastor added a whole different dimension — slightly sweet, smoky, and juicy, with that classic marinade done right. The combination of the two meats together was absolute perfection. The tortilla was warm and soft, wrapped tight without falling apart halfway through like some places. Every bite had a solid balance of meat, rice, beans, and toppings — no skimping and no overload of filler. You could tell everything was fresh and made with care, not just thrown together in a rush. The flavors blended incredibly well — savory, slightly sweet, with just enough kick. Add a little salsa and it takes it to another level. This is the kind of burrito that actually satisfies you and leaves you thinking about it later. If you're debating on what to get at Taco Boy's, the Asada/Pastor burrito is a no-brainer. Big flavor, generous portions, and done right. I’ll definitely be back for this one.
